The 2014 conference has been carefully developed to meet the learning and networking needs of those professionals whether new to field or seasoned veterans. The variety of the program allows you to develop your own learning experience that meets your specific needs. Come and be informed by Ten pre-conferences, four plenary sessions, the three networking sessions, and your choice of  150 concurrent sessions in our beautiful new setting right on the water of the San Diego Bay.

Sessions are arranged in tracks of core and advanced medical, mental health, forensic interviewing, investigations, legal, child welfare, domestic violence, military families, prevention, infant and early childhood, research and global perspectives topics. There is something for everyone.

Some highlights this year are a child fatality investigations course which is becoming a standing annual course, medical and legal courses concentrating on abusive head trauma, the latest in child brain research and the impact of toxic stress, a day on corporal punishment, an emphasis on infant and early childhood topics, trauma informed practice, and genetics. We have also expanded our one world vision with a more robust international focus throughout our tracks. Our expert faculty will impart strong science-based interventions with practical experience and real world solutions.

Over 1800 professionals from the USA and 30 countries have the opportunity to learn from each other, to interact and form personal and professional relationships and to focus on learning and spreading the best practices available throughout the world.

With every new lesson learned, we hope that you come away from this conference replenished, reenergized and that you have renewed your passion and commitment to work with these families.

We invite you to come to San Diego and please pass the word about our Conference to your colleagues and social media friends!

Please join us in 2014 to rekindle your passion and help create a world where children and families are healthy and free from physical and sexual violence and neglect.
